I've been playing Country Trains again with a few mates. This has resulted in one very good tweak of the rules. Thanks to Tash, Tom and Superjay.

I've been playing Country Trains again with a few mates. The sort of people who have special clockwork and steam powered brains. the sort of people who find a a bag full of bits of a broken 1920s fob watch, fiddle with it for a bit, then sell Formula 1 a new timing system.
I've always thought there was not a good enough incentive to place track tiles. You need them. But the one you place this turn will possibly be nabbed by another player before you get to use it.
The solution is simple. Land grant railway rules. Governments have often paid private companies in kind to build railway track. So there is now a simple financial incentive to play a track tile.
